Society of the Friends of the Musée Guimet 

The Friends of the Musée Guimet bring together art lovers, enthusiasts and professionals of Asian arts who ensure the influence of the institution in France and all over the world, inspire donations and bequests, thereby contributing to the collections’ enrichment.

Founded in 1923, the Society of the Friends of the Musée Guimet (SAMG) is subject to the 1901 law of associations, approved by the State in 1971, which has boasted celebrated orientalists like Paul Pelliot, Joseph Hackin, Sylvain Levi, and personalities such as David David-Weill and Georges Salles.

Expositions "Les Amis de Guimet : un siècle pour le musée"

The Friends of the Musée Guimet have free access all year round to the permanent collections, temporary exhibitions,  private visits in privileged conditions, lectures and travels, as well as the museum auditorium. They also enjoy price reductions in the museum boutique and restaurant.

They have the opportunity to meet curators, artists, discover the backstage of museums and contribute to the safeguard of their collections.
