Tournage du téléfilm "l'homme de nos vies" au musée Guimet

Filming and shooting

With 5500 sqm of permanent galleries and three atypical venues steeped in History, the Musée Guimet is the ideal location for film shooting and camerawork, from movies to fashion projects.

The Musée Guimet – 6, Place d’Iéna

Located on the Place d’Iéna in the 16th arrondissement, the museum presents unique permanent Asian arts collections as well as a magnificent library dating back to the 19th century and classified historic monument. A modern auditorium, entirely equipped in 4K, can be privatised for the organisation of film projections, short films or documentaries, previews or press launching. Three levels of planted terraces with a panoramic view over the roofs of Paris and the Eiffel Tower provide countless opportunities of sets for film and photo shoots.

The Hôtel d’Heidelbach – 19, avenue d’Iéna

Located 200 m from the museum, this early 20th-century private mansion, elegant and refined, features an atrium and a monumental staircase, cozy drawing-rooms enhanced with woodwork inspired by the 18th century, as well as a Japanese-style garden featuring an authentic Japanese tea pavilion, unique in Paris.

The Musée d’Ennery – 59, avenue Foch

A journey through time inside a 19th-century curiosity cabinet. With its showrooms preserved in their original state, elegant entrance, cour d’honneur, stables and Haussmann-style flat, this Belle Époque private mansion offers an exceptional, unusual, precious setting… and still a secret.

Our three spaces and our collections form a unique setting for all kinds of shoots – intimate shots or crowd scenes for films, documentaries, and docufictions – and shoots – artistic, advertising or commercial photos, indoor and outdoor – in settings evoking an intemporal Parisian lifestyle.

  • Film and camera shoots of the museum are subject to image rights and specifications conform to the museum visitors’ rules.

A convention is set up between production company and public institution, determining in particular the sum due that will be calculated according to the established daily sum inscribed in the fee schedule validated by the museum Board of Directors.

  • The Museum receives, accompanies and advises the teams, coordinates and hears the requests for shoots.

We pressingly request to receive your entire project so as to convey it to the persons who agree to the shoots for them to examine and validate it.

  • The time required for the files is approximately 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the extent and volume of the shoot. However the museum will study any proposal, even short-term, within the limits of its logistic feasibility depending on the size of the shooting.
